* There was no traffic to Long Beach! Yaee!

* Weird setup: DJ and main area were on opposite side of the building. So you had to choose between watching the DJ (and Tank Girl =) ) and putting up with zero bass, or going to the speaker-wall.

* There was actually another party outside on the patio! Lame... String of club people going right through the center of the dance area to use the restrooms. =P

* Party didn't pick up until 11PM, and at most there were about 100 people there... Felt kind of thin to me for New Years Eve and all...

* Some club people trying to mack on ravergurls... yuck.

* Wasn't sure who's on the TT's most of the time... I chose the thump of the speaker-wall. But I did notice PURE when he went on. He played some pretty kickass stuff...

* The bass reverberation from sitting in a booth gives a great full-body massage... =) But man is it easy to trance out to the vibration and get stuck there...

* Among the peeps I met: two listers: Ed (With beads in his beard! That was pretty cool...) and David (from IE... did you make it to anything else last night?)... From some of the other messages here it sounds like there were other listers that I missed...

* Vibe-girl: Whenever the speaks went out (like 4 times =P) she would keep everyone's buzz going by saying, "Good vibes... good vibes..." to everyone. What a cool thing to do. Anyone know who she is?

* The place thinned out a little too early... By 3AM it was pretty sparse, maybe 40-50 people, and when I woke up from my nap at 4AM... forget it, there were 3 people dancing... So I just kicked back and chatted with people for a while, and took off at 5:30AM. Oh well, I still had a bunch of fun anywayz, so it's still all good...

Rants: * A good thing about LA's scene: People don't bring weapons to raves, and security do a good search... When I went raving in NY I was barely patted down and my friend walked in without being patted down at all... And those stories about people who get cut at raves there...

* Bad-taste-in-mouth techno exposure in media: Some "Review of 1997" show this afternoon: "The so-called techno was embraced by the younger crowd" or something like that... yechhh!

* Best techno exposure in media: PBS! This is the only place I can hear it on television without worrying about it being exploited...

Keep it plurry...
